About Guardian
Over 30 years of designing and fabricating innovative home improvement solutions

Our expert team specialises in the design, fabrication, and installation of high-quality home improvement systems across the UK and Ireland. We take pride in delivering exceptional products and services—always with a personal touch. This commitment is supported by our extensive Certified Fabricator Network, which supplies bespoke solutions to our Certified Installer Network, ensuring quality and efficiency on every project.
Our journey began in 1997, when we identified a common concern among homeowners: conservatories that were too hot in summer and too cold in winter. In response, we developed a unique solution—the Guardian Warm Roof—designed to make conservatories comfortable all year round.
Since then, with over 100,000 warm roof installations completed across the UK and Ireland, we’ve continued to drive innovation with groundbreaking systems like the Guardian Home Extension. To explore our history, view our timeline here: https://guardianbuildingsystems.co.uk/brand-history/

Certified Installers
We work with a trusted network of independent companies across the UK through our Guardian Certified Installer scheme—covering both the Guardian Warm Roof and the Guardian Home Extension systems.
Choosing the right installer is crucial. Your installer must be not only reliable, efficient, and communicative, but also fully trained in the correct installation of our systems. That’s why we hold every Certified Installer in our network to high standards, even though they operate independently of Guardian Building Systems.
Each Guardian Certified Installer must: Provide a 10-year workmanship guarantee Offer an insurance-backed guarantee Pass a credit check Have a minimum of one year’s trading history Hold public liability insurance of at least £1 million
This ensures that every installation is carried out professionally, giving homeowners complete peace of mind.

Making building control approval easy
In nearly all instances, a solid roof replacement on your conservatory does not require planning permission, but it does require local authority building control approval.
The Guardian Warm Roof is an approved system by Hertford Building Control which allows any Certified Installer to access and partner with the LABC (Local Authority Building Control) Authority Scheme to swiftly process all necessary building control requirements for your replacement roof.
In short, all of the stress and hassle of building control approval will be taken out of your hands, and you will have the peace of mind that your replacement roof is not only compliant but can also be completed comparatively faster than other solid roof conversions who must take additional time seeking the necessary LABC approval.
